The ingredients explained
Krill oil
Krill oil is derived from small shrimp-like marine crustaceans found in oceans around the world, but they are most common in cold-water oceans, such as the Antarctic and North Pacific. There are 18 species and an estimated 500 - 750 million tonnes of krill worldwide. This makes them the most significant biomass of animals in the world. They are a staple food for fish, whales, sharks, seals, penguins and other sea birds. Krill eat phytoplankton (microscopic plant life). Unlike many fish, one of the key benefits of krill is that they are low enough on the food chain so that they do not pose a threat of containing mercury.
Omega 3 oils
Omega 3 oils are generally found in coldwater fatty fish, deep green vegetables and some grains and seeds.
Krill oil is a source of two types of Omega 3 fatty acid:
eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA).
EPA and DHA contribute to the normal function of the heart (with a daily intake of 250mg)
DHA and EPA contribute to the maintenance of normal blood pressure (with a daily intake of 3g of EPA and DHA)*
DHA contributes to the maintenance of normal blood triglyceride levels (with a daily intake of 2g of DHA and when taken in combination with EPA)*
DHA contributes to maintenance of normal brain function (with a daily intake of 250mg of DHA)
DHA contributes to maintenance of normal vision (with a daily intake of 250mg of DHA)
*Users should not exceed a supplemental daily intake of 5g of EPA and DHA combined.
Phospholipids
Krill oil also provides phospholipids - naturally-occurring molecules that are a major component of all cell membranes.
Astaxanthin
Astaxanthin is an antioxidant. Antioxidants protect cells from damage. Astaxanthin might also improve the way the immune system functions. People use astaxanthin for many purposes, including Alzheimer disease, athletic performance, aging skin, muscle soreness from exercise, and many others.
The presence of astaxanthin also helps to keep krill oil stable without the need for additives, protecting the Omega 3 fatty acids from becoming rancid due to oxidisation.
INGREDIENTS: Krill Oil (Euphausia Superba) Extract (CRUSTACEAN), Capsule Shell (Bovine Gelatin), glycerol, water. The krill oil does not originate from the UK. It is supplied by Aker BioMarine in the EU.
ALLERGY ADVICE: Not suitable for persons with an allergy to fish or shellfish. People with coagulopathy or taking blood thinning medication should consult their doctor before use.

Whilst we manufacture our products in the UK not all ingredients can be found here. Our raw materials can be sourced in the UK and across the world, to strict pharmaceutical or food grade standards. We are continually updating our source of ingredients to find the best, highest quality ingredients.
What packaging do you use to be sustainable?
The materials that we use for our bottles are fully recyclable.
Where is my order?
Our warehouse is operating as normal but deliveries may experience delays of 2-3 days due to the current situation impacting our delivery providers. Overseas orders may experience longer delays. Your order will have been dispatched up to 48hrs after you placed your order and we would ask that you wait 2-3 days for the order to arrive. In the unlikely and unfortunate event that your order is still not received within in this time frame please contact us at hello@mantrasupplements.co.uk and we will check the tracking numbers, if the order has not been delivered we will arrange for a replacement as soon as possible.
How do I cancel or amend my order?
All orders are prepared or dispatched within 24 hours by our warehouse teams (all orders placed on Fridays, weekends and public holidays dispatched within 24 hours after the next working day). If for any reason you wish to cancel or make a change to your order we advise that you contact our customer care team on hello@mantrasupplements.co.uk immediately after placing your order, we cannot guarantee that your order can always be cancelled or changed before it is dispatched. If you have placed an order in error and we cannot stop it being dispatched, we will of course arrange a free-return and refund for any unwanted product(s).
